Long weekend! I hope this weekend can get me all organized and back on track again. And hopefully I'll be blogging a big on the things in my mind. Meanwhile I'm organizing my computer ;3

It's been a long while since I last followed Korean variety shows. The last one was the Adams couple on WGM...I was pretty obsessed for a while. The biggest reason I don't spend a lot of time watching is because I can't seem to get myself to just sit and stare at my computer for subs. It just felt unproductive. Which is why I gave up on watching dramas. Heck I'm not even watching "Protect the Boss" and Jaejoong is in it. I'm such a bad fan T_T

Anyhow, a few months ago I tried to follow Kim Yuna's Kiss&Cry. At first I really liked it because it's different and it has Kim Yuna (of course), Son Dam Bi, Yunho, IU, and Krystal in it. But after a few episodes there's not much variety and things got boring (not to mention it was hard to find subbed episodes). I know not to have high expectation but I just couldn't help it after a few episodes in. While there are some good skaters, others not so much. And after watching this I really don't like Krystal. I feel that she gives off this haughty aura...and she glares too much. In the end Kiss&Cry didn't work out for me and I had to say goodbye.

Then just recently, during a random youtube watching session, I encountered Immortal Song 2.

After School Craze

I'm surprised I never blogged about After School before. I started to like them after Because of You came out, mostly because of Kahi and her dancing. Then I started to like Uee because of the WGM. After After School's first album "Virgin" came out, I'm liking them more and more. I loooooovvvveeeeeeee the album!!! They are such a talented group! I mean which kpop girl group drums and tap dances?! I was so surprised when I saw it too. I wonder what they will do next?

2011-04-30 B1A4 Gong Chan

Okay so when I first saw the introduction of Gong Chan from B1A4 on allkpop (article here) I was pretty excited about him. It stated that “Gongchan is the maknae and the main vocal of the team. He not only has vocal talent, but impressive acting skills as well, so he will be able to promote in a variety of different areas.” I guess I had this thing for main vocals (like Jaejoong and Jonghyun hehe) and in his promo picture, he looks really good :) So I was pretty excited about their debut. Buuuuttt...

Super Junior M - Perfection

wow are you serious? seriously SM? Do you even require singing abilities to sing this? Yet it's still so heavily digitalized. And what the heck does 我的心变成了口袋的音乐 mean? My heart turned into pocket of music? huh??!! Sorry but the ending sucked too. Firstly the rap was weird and really doesn't have a lot to do with the whole meaning of the song: Boom boom boom, clap clap clap...wow they sure ran out of words for this song. And I don't like the repetition of "Say you miss me, Say you love me". Maybe it's the choppiness or maybe just the lack of variety but the repetition just failed to be catchy to my years. I hate how this song is so chopped up sounding too. It just make them seem like they can't speak Chinese but in fact they can and some of them, other than Hangeng, can speak really well too! Gosh SM, SJM has way more potential than this, please compose better songs for them.

Sounds of January: New & Old Groups

I think I can take out some time today to write about all the crazy stuff happened over the past month. (Finally done the dreadful midterms! hooray!)

So more kpop boy groups debuted a long with some new songs from familiar kpop members. I've been itching to comment on these new songs, especially from these new groups. So here I go...

One - Epik High ft Ji Sun

Wow, this is my first time listening to Epik High. I must say this song is one of my fav. The tune is catchy and the MV overall is well made. The girl in the MV is tired of her life so she tried to commit suicide but failed the first time. Then she tried again and succeeded. Epik High, in this MV, are like gods and magicians. They turned back time to give the girl another chance to live and rethink. This is a really good song for giving strength back to those who are tired of their life.
